Hudson's Holiday Ornament
The holidays are an especially difficult time for parents who’ve lost a child. Every tradition, every gathering, and every moment is touched by the ache of someone missing — the child who should still be part of each memory.

In an effort to remind ourselves that Hudson is still with us, we created Hudson’s Holiday Ornament, a hand-painted keepsake to hang on the tree each year. Each ornament is made with love, honoring Hudson’s memory and allowing his light to guide us through a season that can feel both beautiful and unbearably heavy.

If you, too, have lost a child, we would be honored to know their name. We will create a special ornament in their memory — personalized with their name — a simple, shining tribute to the child forever held in your heart.

The Event

Huddy’s Hike is our largest annual event and fundraiser, created in honor of Hudson and inspired by his love of being outdoors.

Each year, our community comes together to celebrate Hudson’s life with a walk, food trucks, kids’ activities, music, and time to connect. The purpose of Huddy’s Hike is simple: to bring people together to honor Hudson while raising awareness and critical funds for SUDC.
Huddy’s Hike is not only a day to honor Hudson — it’s also a day to recognize and stand with other SUDC families. This event is just as much about honoring their children, uplifting their stories, and reminding every family that they do not walk this path alone.

Our Impact

Since launching the event, Huddy’s Hike has raised more than $98,000 for the SUDC Foundation — over $56,000 in 2024 and more than $42,000 in 2025. These funds play a vital role in supporting families affected by sudden unexplained loss in childhood and in advancing research so that families like ours may one day have answers to why their perfectly healthy children never woke up.
