Love Lives On.
Hudson's Story
Hudson was pure joy — a curious, adventurous little boy who lit up every room he entered. He loved being outdoors, dancing with Mom and Dad, and eating just about everything, including his vegetables! His laugh was contagious, his smile came easily, and his gentle, happy nature made every day brighter. Hudson was so proud to soon become a big brother.
On the night of January 7th, 2024, something seemed off. Hudson had rosy cheeks, and a mild temperature of 99.1. Ginna put him to bed with snuggles and kisses — only to find him hours later, unresponsive.

Despite a thorough autopsy, extensive testing, and in-depth genetic analysis, doctors found no illness, no abnormalities, and no explanation for his passing. Hudson’s death has been classified as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).
Losing Hudson has shattered our hearts in ways words can’t fully capture. But we are forever the keepers of his memory — carrying his love, his joy, and his light forward in everything we do.
This foundation exists in Hudson’s honor — to celebrate his beautiful life, to support families walking a similar path, and to bring much-needed attention to SUDC. Through this work, Hudson’s bright spirit lives on, touching hearts just as deeply as he always did.

With love and appreciation,
Sam & Ginna Henriksen

Fundraisers

Huddy’s Hike is our biggest fundraising event and the heart of our community. Each year, we walk together in honor of our sweet Hudson, raising awareness for SUDC and supporting families who’ve experienced unimaginable loss. It’s a day filled with love, connection, and purpose — and a reminder that none of us walk this path alone.

The proceeds raised from this event go to support the SUDC Foundation and critical SUDC research studies.

"And if I must love
at this new distance
I will love you so fiercely
it will be felt in every universe that lies between us."
